The Diurnal Drabble Dare: Week 13
Get your prompts for March 26 to April 1, 2025!
Welcome to Week 13 of The Diurnal Drabble Dare, March 26 - April 1, 2025.
How was Week 12? How many drabbles did you write? I managed to write 8. Here’s one of them:
I Hate Raisins
At first, I thought they were turds. Then I realized they were raisins.
The dropped fruits snaked down the sidewalk in a wobbly line. I didn’t bother picking them up, though I probably should’ve. Raisins were toxic for dogs, and our street had lots of dogs.
But the shrivelled mystery beckoned.
I followed the trail until it ended at the neighbour’s open gate. Something small and sticky hit my cheek. I looked up just in time to see the boy in the treehouse hurl another raisin at me.
“Why are you throwing them?” I asked.
“I hate raisins,” he said.

Hi , Honey. I am home now
Hi ,sweetie. How was your day?
I'm just glad tomorrow is a holiday. That chem class is a tough one for the kids .
I hope what I taught today sticks in their brains until Monday. We start on the Bunsen burner then . I am no fool. They will either hurt themselves or burn down the school !
Ugh, I just saw myself in the living room mirror. Look at those dark circles under my eyes. Oh, I need a spa day !
Maybe dinner will make me feel better.
What have you fixed?
Your favorite, paella.
You are the best stay- at- home husband in the world !
Love you to the moon and back!
