The Diurnal Drabble Dare: Week 29
Get your prompts for July 16-22, 2025!
Welcome to Week 29 of The Diurnal Drabble Dare, July 16-22, 2025.
How was Week 28? How many drabbles did you write? I managed to write 9. Here’s one of them:
Worms Taste the Best
Lina claimed that all the candies tasted the same, no matter the shape.
We agreed to disagree.
“Can I have one?” she asked, eyeing the plastic bag in my lap.
“Only if you admit that the gummy worms taste the best.”
“They do not. They taste exactly the same as the bears. Besides, eating worms is disgusting.”
“They’re not real,” I reminded her.
“Still. Why would you want to eat something that even remotely resembles a worm?” Since I wasn’t forthcoming with the treats, she reached toward the bag. I yanked it away.
“Fine,” she conceded. “Worms are the best.”
Want to see how other writers are using the prompts?

Joe was so tired of the dating game.
He thought he might have better luck with a dating service like a 15 minute trial match up..
He had some questions to ask when he was sitting across from a lady. Most were sweet but he was looking for something more . His ideal woman would be caviar as opposed to junk food
He was losing hope but he found a space and sat down. In walked the most beautiful woman he had ever seen . His tongue started drooling but he couldn't
Imagine that she would be able to answer his questions.
She sat down across from him. He said
“Hi, I'm Joe. Can you answer a couple of my questions”?
She replied, “ Sure, that is a great way to start without frittering our time away.”
“ OK,”said Joe.
“First question. What is your favorite emoji”?
“I think I like the hearts 💕 “
“OK”, Joe said. “I like them, too. “
“ And now, the last question.”
He had gotten used to hearing apple or cherry as an answer but he asked it anyway.
.” What is pi?”
She answered , “3.14.”
“ Would you like to go on a real date?”
“I would love to!”
Thank you, Nissa!
